What is BuyTech Bridge?

BuyTech Bridge is a non-custodial cross-chain bridge. It lets you move assets between blockchain networks from a single interface. Routing and settlement are powered by Relay.

How does BuyTech Bridge work?

You choose a source network and asset, an amount, and a destination network and asset. We request the best available route from Relay, show you the estimated result, and — after you approve it in your own wallet — execute the transactions. Relay settles the funds on the destination chain. BuyTech Bridge never holds your funds. Every transaction is signed by you, in your wallet.

Which networks are supported?

Supported networks are discovered dynamically from Relay, so the list reflects what is actually available. You can currently sign source (outgoing) transactions from major EVM networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and others; you can bridge to any network Relay supports.

Which wallets are supported?

Accepted Answer

Any EVM wallet that supports the standard injected provider or WalletConnect — including MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet and others.

How long does a bridge take?

Most routes settle in seconds, but the exact time depends on the networks and current conditions. We show an estimate for each quote before you confirm. Some routes can take longer.

What fees do I pay?

Three things can apply: network gas (paid to the blockchain), Relay routing/provider costs (built into the quote), and the BuyTech service fee of 1%. All of these are shown in the quote before you bridge.

What is the BuyTech service fee?

BuyTech charges a 1% service fee on supported transactions. It is applied through Relay App Fees and is displayed clearly in every quote. BuyTech Bridge is not free — we do not claim zero fees.

Is BuyTech Bridge custodial?

Accepted Answer

No. BuyTech Bridge is non-custodial. We never take custody of your assets and never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. You approve every transaction in your own wallet.

Question 9

What happens if my bridge fails?

Accepted Answer

If a route cannot be completed, Relay refunds the deposited funds to your origin wallet automatically. Refunds have network gas costs deducted; in rare cases where the gas cost exceeds the refundable amount, a refund may not be possible.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled by Relay at the protocol level and are sent to your refund address (your origin wallet by default). You can track the status of any bridge — including refunds — from the Transactions page.
